1970's Cookies

I am not gonna lie; I was SO excited to make these.  I really had no idea what I was going to do when I sat down to decorate however.  My friend, Tally had a 70's themed birthday party so I had to do something special for her.

There are a million directions to go with the 70's since there are so many great trends from that era.  I took a little bit of everything for inspiration.

I knew I wanted to do peace signs for sure but I couldn't get away from my inner flower child.  And then, after the cookies were delivered and the pictures were posted, an amazing follower pointed out that I am missing the bottom/middle line so this is actually a Mercedes sign.  Ha!  Totally something I would do!!! I bet several people noticed including my hubs but didn't have the heart to tell me. ;)

Believe it or not, I didn't have to make any icing for these cookies.  I had icing left over from all of the week's cookies so I decorated according to the colors that I had in flood/pipe icing.

I honestly didn't know what I was doing with this chick but she ended up looking like Velma from Scooby-Doo so it worked out I guess.

For this groovy chick, I got inspiration from Sugarbelle's afro girl and Oh Sugar Event's and combined the two.  Thanks ladies!!

The disco ball was first flooded in white icing.  I then airbrushed it with sliver and added rainbow disco dust before I piped the black lines.

Happy Birthday Natalya!
Peace.
