Bridal Tea

My sweet niece is getting married and of course she had to have the perfect party to shower her with gifts.  This bridal tea was the brain-child of my sister, Shawn. We've collaborated before for my little man's first birthday. This time, we pulled out all the stops. We could have (and should have) used a small moving truck to bring all of the details of this party to our parents' home.

I loved EVERY single detail about this table. Almost everything was homemade including the dresser that Shawn refinished just in time for the party. She is uber crafty!

I made the mini rose cookies and love them!

Shawn and I also made the cakes; strawberry, chocolate and vanilla.

Very easy semi-homemade fruit tarts {Recipe coming soon} and macaroons from Sugarbaby's. I can honestly say that I never had one of these tiny French treats until this party and I am glad I did! I WILL be mastering the macaroon and offering it at WiG if I don't decide to make them and eat them all myself.

In lieu of a formal guest book, my niece chose to have everyone sign a cork which I know she will do something magical with later.

The cutest couple.

The dessert table was not the only place packed full of details.  All of the other areas/tables in the house were carefully decorated.  Shawn thought of everything.

Who says you can't get full at a tea party?

Sweet tea and lemonade are much more fun this way.

The fruit was also served with a twist; on a bamboo skewer, in a tiny milk bottle.  Tiny milk bottles make me happy.

I have to say that the favors were my favorite part (I might be a little bias).

Each guest got to take away their own tiny paper bag with a decorated lace cookie.  The bags were adorned with super, fabric paper clips from Pier 1 Imports.

The sweet ladies who helped bring all of this together.

And the partners in crime, Shawn and I.  Be on the lookout as we hope to make this something we do together more often.  The party scene will be an extension of the dessert making. ;)

Ahhh, the beautiful bride.  Donna, you are so very special to so many people.  We are all proud and extremely excited for you and Travis.  Muah!

Vendor credits coming soon!
