Cookies for a Cause

My friend Merideth hosted a Market Night at her home where she invited different vendors to come and sell their goods.  A portion of the proceeds were donated to the Jacobsen's Research Group in her son, Brady's name.  Brady was diagnosed with Jacobsen's Syndrome (also known as 11Q) at 14 months.  He has been to numerous doctors and undergone 3 surgeries in his four years of life.  Merideth and her husband feel blessed that Brady is on the mild side of the syndrome.  The funds raised will go to the advancement in research since the syndrome is so rare (about 250 cases known world wide) and to help others diagnosed that are on the more sever side of the syndrome.

I contributed 2 dozen cookies for the event.  Merideth said that Brady loves baseball, football and basketball so I went with sports for the theme.

For those that attended the Market Night and place an order for cookies any time this year, 50% of proceeds will be donated to the Jacobsen's Research Group in Brady's name.

Thanks Merideth for including me in this important cause.
